Dr. Jeffrey Boskind earned his medical degree in 1991 from Loma Linda University School of Medicine going on to complete his residency in General Surgery there as well. He then went to the University of Louisville where he did a fellowship in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. He remains board certified in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, General Surgery as well as the Endovascular Section of the American Board of Vascular Medicine. He has also received additional training in endovascular and peripheral vascular catheter based interventions.

His practice covers all aspects of Thoracic and Vascular Surgery with emphasis and interest in thoracic oncology, aneurysms, and peripheral vascular procedures. He enjoys helping his patients experience excellent cancer survival and improved quality of life. He spends a lot of time with the patient and their families both in the clinic and in the hospital. He recognizes that dealing with cancer and vascular disease can be complex, difficult to comprehend, and difficult to deal with.

In his free time, Dr. Boskind enjoys fly fishing, hiking, climbing, and traveling with his wife and two children. It is not just the quantity of life but the quality of life that really counts.

Stephen R. Crook, MD
General & Vascular Surgery

Dr. Stephen Crook graduated from Loma Linda University Medical School in 1995 and completed his surgical training there in 2000.  He then escaped California and moved his family to Portland Oregon and began his surgical career.
Dr. Crook performs a wide variety of general surgical procedures including laparoscopic, thyroid, gastrointestinal, oncology, and hernia surgery. He also enjoys peripheral arterial, venous, and dialysis access surgery.
Dr. Crook practices at Portland Adventist Medical Center and Portland Providence Medical Center. 
When not working he enjoys golf, ice hockey, water skiing and playing Barbies with his two little girls (actually this is torture for him but don’t tell them).

Roby F. Hayes, MD
General & Minimally Invasive Surgery

Dr. Roby Hayes earned his medical degree from Oral Roberts University School of Medicine in 1984. He completed his surgical residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in 1989 and then joined the Medical School Faculty as an Associate Professor, working at San Bernardino County Medical Center. Dr. Hayes moved to Portland in 1991 and has been board certified in general surgery for 20 years.

His practice covers a wide variety of general surgical procedures, but his particular interest and additional training is in advanced laparoscopic surgery. In addition to laparoscopic gallbladder, colon and anti-reflux surgery, he is one of the few surgeons in Portland proficient in laparoscopic splenectomy and adrenalectomy.

Dr. Hayes has done short-term medical missionary service in Kenya, Swaziland, Ecuador and the Philippines. His interests include theological studies, travel and computers. He also serves as one of the pastors of his local church.
